Do Not Doubt

Thinking About ItBelieve in yourself. Believe in the Universal Equation.  Think of what you want in your life and then think as if it has already happened.  It is a given.

Jesus words at Mark 11:23,24 — “Truly I say to you that whoever tells this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but has faith that what he says is going to occur, he will have it so. This is why I tell you, All the things you pray and ask for have faith that you have practically received, and you will have them.”

Do you believe this to be true?  Wrap your head around it until you do believe it.  Think about why we exist.  Humans that is.  We are a product of God’s love.  God caused our existence for the same reason we ourselves choose to have children:  To bring forth beings that we can love and that will return that love to us.

“Which father is there among you who, if his son asks for a fish, will perhaps hand him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he also asks for an egg, will hand him a scorpion?” (Luke 11:11)

Would it not make sense that the universe is intrinsically designed to favor His children?

When the going gets tough, it is easy to fall prey to doubt, to accuse oneself that you are not really righteous enough for God’s help.

Remember the account where Jesus was walking on water?  Peter was among the disciples on a boat that was close by where he was walking.  Peter called out and said “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you over the waters.”  The Lord replied, “Come!”  Peter then stepped out of the boat and he too began walking on the water toward Jesus.

However, as he was walking, Peter looked out and saw the windstorm and began to lose his faith and gave way to doubt.  Immediately, he began to sink into the water and had to cry out to the Lord to save him.  Jesus reached his hand out and grabbed hold of him and asked “why did you give way to doubt?”

Sometimes we can start out with great faith and a positive attitude.  But, then the money starts to run out, things begin to look rough, we look out at the windstorm and begin to doubt.  When we lose our faith, that is when we begin to sink.

Whatever the windstorm, never give way to doubt.
